She'd even come close to fighting James, and she'd punched Natasha, and the danger of her powers with her nightmares came from the fact that she wanted to tear them down. Fighting was the only way she really knew how to live; in the concept of it, even when it wasn't literally punching whatever stood in her way. But he was right, of course-- it was isolating. Something pulling her down around the edges, even if she pretended that it didn't.
